For the first time ever in professional cricket history, a T20 match has been decided by not one, not two but THREE Super Overs. The historic result came from an enthralling contest between associate nations Netherlands and Nepal on Monday night in Glasgow, with the former side coming out victors from the chaos.Watch England vs India Test Series LIVE & EXCLUSIVE on Fox Cricket, available on Kayo Sports | New to Kayo? The Netherlands however responded with the exact same total off their six balls as Max O’Dowd hit the final two deliveries for six and four respectively. The second rendition then saw the Dutch bat first, hitting 17 more runs and another two sixes with a different opening combination. But again, the two sides couldn’t be separated — as the Netherlands’ Klein was hit for 17 more runs in a tough night with the ball in hand for the 23-year-old.That meant an unprecedented third Super Over, where the Nepalese lost two wickets for no runs off their first four balls; ending their mini-innings as per the laws of the quirky match-decider. Young all-rounder Zach Lion-Cachet was the breakthrough bowler for the Dutch. It then took batter Michael Levitt just one ball to register a score in the sixth and final Super Over innings for the match, finishing the clash in style with a monster six over wide long-on off the bowling of Sandeep Lamichhane. The two teams are currently in the midst of a T20 Tri-Series against Scotland, with the hosts taking on Nepal at 12am AEST on Wednesday in the third game of the six-match series.
