The 25-year-old led India to a memorable victory over England at Edgbaston, their first-ever at the venue, to level the five-match series 1-1.Gill smashed a brilliant 269 in the first innings and followed it up with 161 off just 162 balls in the second innings to help India win the Test in Birmingham. He scored a total of 430 runs in the match and now holds the record for the second-highest run aggregate in a Test game.
