Juventus travel to face Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday in a Serie A encounter that could have a major impact on both clubs’ hopes of qualifying for the Champions League.

Juventus come into the game on the back of league defeats to Inter (3–2) and Como (2–0). Those results came either side of their elimination from the Champions League knockout play-off by Galatasaray.

Juventus team news

Luciano Spalletti cannot call on captain Manuel Locatelli, who is suspended after picking up a booking against Como last weekend while already one caution away from a ban.

Teun Koopmeiners is the leading candidate to take over Locatelli’s duties in central midfield and is set to be included in the starting XI.

There is better news in defence, where Gleison Bremer is set to return to the starting lineup after missing the loss to Como and only making the bench in the second leg against Galatasaray.

Juventus will still be without Dusan Vlahovic, Emil Holm and Arkadiusz Milik, all of whom remain ruled out through injury.
