St George’s: Sam Konstas’ place in the Australian Test team is becoming increasingly under threat after a fourth-ball duck late on day two of the second Test against the West Indies that will only intensify pressure on the struggling teenage prodigy.

Minutes after the West Indies were bowled out for 253, just shy of Australia’s first innings total of 286, Konstas and Khawaja made their way to the middle of the Grenada National Cricket Stadium with 35 minutes left in the day.

Konstas’ stay lasted just four balls as he dragged Jayden Seales’ fourth delivery onto his stumps.

The 19-year-old, who made 25 runs a day earlier, couldn’t believe his luck and cut a dejected figure as he walked from the field, having just made his seventh score under 26 from eight Test innings.
