Real Madrid confirmed that Rodrygo suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and external meniscus in his right knee during the match against Getafe, ruling him out until the end of the season.

The injury also sidelines him from the upcoming World Cup, a tournament where he had strong chances of being selected by Carlo Ancelotti, who previously coached him at club level.
