RCB Fans Flood Ananya Birla's Post With One Request

Not even 24 hours after T20 cricket fans were gifted with not one, but two IPL team sales, fans are expressing their excitement on social media. For the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals, it was a big day for the future of the sport.

For RR, a consortium comprising tech entrepreneurs and investors with stakes in NFL teams, it became the first IPL franchise to fetch over $1 billion in a sale. But that didn’t last long.

RCB was sold to a group of investors that have their hands in many pockets. Some of those pockets help fund NHL, MLB, and NFL teams. The RCB men’s and women’s teams were sold for approximately $1.8 billion.

Some fans could not contain their excitement, especially after seeing a viral post from one of RCB’s newest owners, Ananya Birla.

Ananya Birla is the daughter of Kumar Mangalam Birla, who is Chairman of the Aditya Birla Group. She took to her Instagram to share a message for RCB fans.

“A big thank you to all RCB fans for your love, we will do this right,” Ananya’s post begins. “This isn’t about us, it’s about all of you. Ee Sala Cup Namdu. Congratulations, Aryaman Vikram Birla for being chair. You’re going to ace this, and I’ll be right there as always. Love you, Advaitesha Birla!! So very proud.”

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Fans’ Flood Ananya Birla’s Instagram Post With Congratulations & Pleas

As you can imagine, Ananya was flooded with support from RCB fans in the comments section of her post.

“So epic!!! Congratulations,” read one comment.

“Welcome to the RCB fam, Ananya mam,” another user wrote.

“Many congratulations Ananya, can’t wait to see you cheering for RCB in the stands! Lets’s play bold,” wrote another.

One user commented, “One request to, please don’t change the name RCB and the logo. They are pure emotions to the fans.”

“Lovely franchise RCB, also have a Queen owner,” another user commented.

The majority of responses urge RCB’s new owner not to change the franchise name. These comments also mention leaving the logo unchanged.

Finally, one comment said, “Now we have cutiiiiiiiiie owner OMG.”
