Marco Silva takes his Fulham side to Old Trafford for the fifth round of the FA Cup.Manchester United are back in FA Cup action when they host Fulham on Sunday, with a place up for grabs in the quarter-final.Ruben Amorim’s side progressed past Leicester City after winning their fourth round tie 2-1, while Fulham beat Wigan Athletic by the same scoreline.In the third round, United beat Arsenal on penalties at the Emirates Stadium to launch the defence of the FA Cup crown.Fulham are enjoying a better Premier League campaign than United, with The Cottagers positioned ninth – five places above the Reds.However, it bodes well for United that they’ve already beaten Fulham twice this season because Amorim will be aiming to go one step better this weekend.Photo by Rene Nijhuis/MB MediaMarco Silva issues warning ahead of Manchester United clashIt has been two years since Fulham boss Marco Silva and two of his players were sent off at Old Trafford during a 3-1 defeat – having been 1-0 up.More United NewsSilva was sent off along with Aleksandar Mitrovic and Willian when United hosted Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-finals in 2023.Punishment followed as Mitrovic was handed an eight-game suspension and fined £75k, while his manager was fined £20,000 and hit with a two-game touchline ban.The Fulham manager is unapologetic for letting his emotions get the better of him.Speaking to reporters ahead of the match, Silva stressed that he is not going to change his ways as a manager.“I learn from all the moments in my career,” Silva said. “I try to take something from when I analyse my team, my staff. But I’m passionate and I’m not going to change. It’s impossible to change.“We all know the limits, the margins. We know what is respect between managers, players with players. As with the officials we all know what this means and the limits are there. But I’m passionate and I try to share that with my players and transmit it for them.”Silva added: “Emotions are part of a football match, we have to try to control our emotions. This could see Diogo Dalot fill the void at left wing-back.It remains to be seen if Amorim will make any changes to his side that beat Ipswich 2-1 last weekend.
