HARARE (Dunya News) – Pakistan captain Farhan Yousaf won the toss and put Scotland Under-19 in to bat in the second Group ‘C’ match of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare on Monday.

The match will begin at 9.30am local time.

Pakistan, who recently won the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup in Dubai and the tri-series in Zimbabwe, did not have the best of starts as they lost to England by 37 runs in their first group fixture at the Takashinga Sports Club in Harare on Friday. For Pakistan, captain Farhan Yousaf scored 65, while Ahmed Hussain bagged three wickets.

Pakistan and Scotland have played three matches – all at the ICC U19 World Cup with Pakistan emerging victorious on each occasion. The two sides last met during the ICC U19 World Cup 2020 in South Africa, where Pakistan defeated Scotland by seven wickets.

Bowling coach Rao Iftikhar Anjum, while talking to PCB Digital ahead of the second match said: “The previous match result was disappointing for us because we had prepared extensively for the World Cup over the last six months and had been performing well in the Asia Cup and the tri-series.

“The players and coaches had a productive meeting yesterday and we have prepared well for tomorrow’s match. We are hopeful of delivering strong performances and our mindset remains positive.

“We conceded around 200 runs and while the bowling was not poor overall, we have discussed areas where we can improve and have planned accordingly.
