The 2025 French Open is into the business end as the quarter-finals stage get underway at Roland-Garros.

While six of the top eight female tennis seeds are present, there is a place for the tournament’s breakthrough star, Loïs Boisson. The world number 361 is France’s last home singles hope and in style, upon her first ever Grand Slam appearance.

Defending champion Iga Swiatek is still in the hunt for a fourth consecutive triumph on Court Philippe-Chatrier, while an enticing clash between world number one Aryna Sabalenka and Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen awaits in Paris.

Over in the men’s draw, there will be a battle between the last two Olympic gold medallists: Novak Djokovic, who did so on these clay courts at Paris 2024, and Alexander Zverev, victorious at Tokyo 2020 back in 2021.

No-one can yet rule out resurgent reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz, who is storming through the draw and shaping up for a potential blockbuster final with world number one rival Jannik Sinner.

Here is everything to know ahead of the Roland-Garros quarter-final matchups.
