Over 250 players across elite and age-grade categories will battle for top prizes at the sixth edition of the National Table Tennis Championships, tagged the Michael and Felicia Alabi Memorial Table Tennis Tournament, scheduled to take place in the ancient town of Otan Ayegbaju, Osun State, from April 12 to April 17, 2026.The tournament, organised by the Osun State Table Tennis Association under the auspices of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation, and supported by the Michael and Felicia Alabi Foundation, will be staged at the newly constructed Idera Multi-Purpose Hall in Otan Ayegbaju.Veterans, para-athletes, and deaf athletes will also compete side by side, underscoring the tournament’s commitment to unity and equal opportunity.Beyond the competition, the event is expected to attract coaches, scouts, administrators, and enthusiasts from across the country, reinforcing its reputation as a pipeline for Nigerian table tennis talent.Over the years, the tournament has given rising talents the opportunity to shine on the national stage while offering seasoned athletes an arena to reaffirm their dominance.Competition categories range from U-15 singles to veteran, para, and deaf divisions, ensuring that every athlete has a platform to showcase their skill and determination.Last year, Abdulbasit Abdulfatai of Kwara State and Hope Udoaka of Cross River State emerged as the men’s and women’s champions, respectively.
