Alexander Isak remains a potential target for Liverpool following another standout season with Newcastle United. The Reds have already made waves in the transfer market, bringing in Jeremie Frimpong and edging closer to securing Florian Wirtz in a high-profile move.

The German international is poised to break Liverpool's transfer record after a deal was agreed with Bayer Leverkusen. Milos Kerkez is still on the radar, with negotiations ongoing to bring the Hungarian to Anfield, as Arne Slot looks to bolster his squad following their Premier League title victory.

Speculation surrounds the future of the title-winning front four, with Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo all attracting attention from clubs across Europe and beyond.

Nunez has struggled to live up to expectations, netting just 40 goals in 143 appearances - including five in the title-winning campaign. Clubs from the Saudi Pro League, along with Atletico Madrid and Napoli, have reportedly shown interest in the former Benfica striker.

In the meantime, Liverpool has been linked with Hugo Ekitike during the transfer window, while Isak has been consistently linked for a move within the Premier League.

Isak's impressive performances in the Premier League could make him a viable option for Liverpool, but the club's recruitment team face the challenge of negotiating with league rivals Newcastle.

As per CIES Football Observatory, the Swedish international's valuation is estimated to be between $98 million and $123 million.

This assessment comes from an analysis of over 8,000 transfers, utilising multiple linear regression to evaluate player prices in the top five European leagues, with transfer fees paid by clubs serving as an independent variable.

A previous report by Chronicle Live suggested that Newcastle would not receive fair value if Isak were sold for over $200 million.

At the end of the season, David Ornstein of The Athletic stated that if Newcastle secured a Champions League spot, Isak would not be leaving the club.

"For them, it's not so much about the PSR, it's more about their stature, and the Saudi-led ownership ambitions to really kick on," he said in an interview with NBC Sports.

"Also, keeping somebody like Alexander Isak. If Newcastle reached the Champions League today, he is going nowhere.

"If they don't, I think some suitors may think there's a glimmer, a slight chance that they could test the waters on that front. Newcastle's perspective is that he's not for sale at any price."

However, a recent report by Graeme Bailey for TBR Football claimed that Liverpool remains keen on signing the attacker and are currently at the front of the queue to secure his services.
