'What do you want me to do?' - Jack Grealish bites back at fan after 'personal' snub

Jack Grealish has gone on the defensive after a fan took aim at his recent form.

The comment was made underneath a talkSPORT video on Instagram where Gabby Agbonlahor shared his verdict on Grealish reportedly being left out of Manchester City's 35-man squad for the Club World Cup.

One fan felt Grealish's expected snub was justified and wrote: "Dude Jack is (sic) been bad lately and I'm not surprised Pep did that."

The comment caught Grealish's attention as he replied: "Haha I've been bad lately? Scored three goals in my last three appearances over 45 mins but okie dokie love x."

Grealish also commented: "What u want me to do, score a hatty in 20?"

Agbonlahor, who was a former teammate of Grealish's at Aston Villa, also leapt to the forward's defence and felt Guardiola's actions towards the forward have been 'personal'.

"Bringing on a young kid for his debut in an FA Cup final when you're chasing a goal, when you've got someone who has had the career Jack's had seemed a bit odd," Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT Breakfast.

"That seemed like a bit personal to me.

"You know like a last little dig to get you out, to upset you, to want you to move, but we've seen this before from Pep.

"Pep can be ruthless at times if he feels that you're not part of his future plans. He will get rid of you."

Grealish was overlooked by Guardiola in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace in favour of Argentinian teenager Claudio Echeverri.

To rub further salt into the wounds, it was Echeverri's City debut.

Grealish was also left out of City's matchday squad against Fulham on the final day of the Premier League season.

It meant the 29-year-old ended the campaign with just one start in 2025 for City.

The likes of Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden, Savinho and January signing Omar Marmoush were all preferred over Grealish, who joined City for an eye-watering £100million from Villa in August 2021.

All up, Grealish featured in 32 appearances across all competitions for City during the 2024/25 campaign but only 16 of those were starts, including just seven in the Premier League.

Grealish also registered just eight attacking contributions all season.

Agbonlahor was not the only talkSPORT host to take aim at Guardiola over his treatment of Grealish.

Jamie O'Hara launched into a scathing attack on the City boss and labelled him a 'spoiled brat'.

"I'm a bit annoyed at Pep. I think he's like a spoiled brat... he's spent £100 million on Jack Grealish, right," O'Hara said.

"Ruined him as a football player.

“And Jack would look at it and say, ‘Oh, he's won, he won the treble that season’. But, you know, he hasn't really done much there at that football club. And Pep now just wants to bin him. Just get rid of him.

“No, no, not for me. Not in the squad. No, thanks. See you later.

“Not playing him. Don't really care about what he's about. And see you later. He spent £100 million on him. £100 million.

“If that happened with Declan Rice at Arsenal, Mikel Arteta would get the sack, right? Pep gets away with it because he's Pep.

"Like, completely, like, get something out of him. Get more out of him. Figure it out.

“If I'm the owner, I'd say, well, hold on, Pep. I get it, you're a genius and tactics and all that, whatever.

"Well, how about the £100 million we spent on Jack Grealish and you just want to get rid of him, you know, you just want to bin him off?”
