The 4-1 victory over Villarreal was indeed important for Barcelona, but the night truly belonged to Lamine Yamal.

The teenager delivered a brilliant hat trick at the Spotify Camp Nou, once again showing why he is considered one of the brightest talents in European football.

After the final whistle, the praise inside the Barcelona dressing room was unanimous.

Dani Olmo was one of the first to highlight the youngster’s mindset. He stressed that despite the spotlight, Yamal remains grounded and focused on improving every day.

“Lamine knows what he has to do, keep training. We all know he has what it takes, and we help him as much as we can because he contributes a lot to the team,” he said.

Praise did not stop

Furthermore, versatile defender Eric Garcia also spoke warmly about the winger’s impact. For him, Barcelona are simply fortunate to have such quality in their ranks.

“We are lucky to have him playing for our team. Lamine’s performance was incredible. He could even have saved one or two goals for Tuesday.”

Young centre-back Pau Cubarsi looked further into the future. Rather than being surprised by the hat trick, he suggested it should only be the beginning.

“Let’s hope this is the first of many hat tricks for Lamine because he is a player who has a lot to give us.”

Meanwhile, close friend and teammate Alejandro Balde focused on the maturity Yamal continues to show despite his age.

“What Lamine is doing deserves applause. At only 18 years old, his performances are exceptional and everyone can see that.

“I hope he continues like this for many years to come,” he noted.
