Yuvraj Singh has often seen his name being dragged into some controversial comments made by his father Yograj. First MS Dhoni, and then Kapil Dev, Yograj made several embarrassing comments against the two Indian cricket icons, sometimes even dragging his son Yuvraj into the mess. During an interview, Yuvraj opened up on the controversial remarks made by his father, saying he would like to apologise to Dhoni and Kapil on his father's behalf over the despicable comments. Yuvraj also held discussions with his father over these statements, admitting that it was quite uncomfortable for him to hear his father say such things."I would like to apologise to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni for these comments," he said in an interview with SportsTak. "I told dad, it's not okay."Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni are two of the biggest legends in Indian cricket, the only two captains to have won the ODI World Cup for the nation. Yet, Yograj made some avoidable comments against them. He blamed Dhoni for ruining the final phase of Yuvraj's career, while slamming Kapil for "dropping him for no reason." Yuvraj revealed that he told his father strictly that such comments are not welcomed."Kapil was a great player and captain for India. I don't know what the issue was between him and my father. I have played with MS Dhoni and have always expressed my relationship with him. But what my dad has said about him -- I told him, 'it's not okay.' It reflects on me as I have played with him.""I told him I would appreciate it if he didn't say these things, whatever the reasons. I sincerely would like to apologise to both of them. And they also know that those words are not mine. As cricketers, I have huge respect for them for whatever they have done for the country," he added.Yograj and Yuvraj didn't have the best father-son relationship but still put their differences aside to work as a coach and ward. But now, they are dealing with each other more like a father and son."We now try to interact more as father and son, rather than the earlier dynamic of coach and ward. It's an interesting phase in my life," he said. "We discuss a lot about past and present cricketers and often argue - but it's all in good humour," he revealed.
