Uganda assured of Netball Gold, Silver and Bronze at 2025 FEASSA Games

Uganda’s dominance of Netball in the East African region has been further reflected in the secondary school games for East African schools.

The four semi-finalists are all from Uganda at this year’s FEASSA Games, as has been the case for the last couple of years.

Record winners St Mary’s Kitende, St Noa Girls Zana, Budo SS and Hamdan Islamic SS all played in the semifinals on Wednesday morning at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega county.

St Mary’s Kitende out-muscled St Noa Girls School Zana 59-32 and Budo S.S. overcame Hamdan Islamic SS 46-38 during the two semifinals played concurrently.

St Mary’s Kitende will now face Budo Secondary School in the repeat of this year’s national final played at Tororo Girls to determine who takes gold on Thursday, 21st August 2025.

St Noa Girls Zana will lock horns against Hamdan Islamic SS in the third-place play-off duel to decide the bronze medalists.

Wednesday afternoon will also be dedicated to play-off matches.

Among the classification duels shall witness St.Joseph against Oyugi Ogango, Bukokholo facing Vwawa, Lutozo battling Bugogwa and Gahini tussling against Kaya Tiwi.

Netball is joined by Soccer, volleyball, handball, basketball, rugby, hockey, athletics, table tennis, badminton, tennis, swimming, goalball (SNE games), chess, scrabble, beach volleyball, beach soccer, lacrosse, DanceSport and cricket.

Lacrosse, beach volleyball, cricket and DanceSport are all making their debut at the games, which climax on Friday, 22nd August 2025.

Uganda is the overall defending champion.
