A last-minute intervention means tonight's Cork vs Limerick can be streamed live with TG4, much to the delight of hurling fans who initially thought they may not be able to watch the match live.

Cork GAA had been reluctant to move the game earlier to avoid a clash with the Six Nations opener between Ireland and England, with RTÉ choosing to show the Division One football clash live this evening.

TG4 have stepped up to show the game, and the action of the eagerly-anticipated clash between the Munster hurling rivals at Páirc Uí Chaoimh will be streamed live this evening - so households and pubs with a smart TV will be able to watch it live on their telly.

Cork scored a Championship double over the Treaty County last season, ending their bid for a historic five-in-a-row, but the Rebels fell short in the decider against Clare in July.

Pat Ryan's side also have the advantage of a game under their belt after claiming a facile win over Wexford last weekend.

Limerick were the only one of the seven Division 1A sides not to play last weekend.
