REINFORCEMENTS at both ends.Carlton has named a trio of inclusions for Thursday night’s 31st Peter Mac Cup against old enemy Collingwood. It was originally confirmed by AFL Senior Coach Michael Voss on Tuesday that the Blues would welcome back co-vice captain Jacob Weitering, as well as protege Harry Dean. The defensive duo are returning from respective concussions, with Weitering missing against the Crows while Dean has missed the last two games of football.Having passed their concussion protocols and training fully during the week, it means the Blues will have a new-look defensive group for the clash with the Pies.At the other end of the ground, Carlton can also once again call on the services of Will Hayward, who returns straight back into the fold. After sitting out with suspension last week, Hayward provides another avenue to goal in a dynamic-looking forward line for the Blues.Coming out of the side are the omitted trio of Jordan Boyd, Wade Derksen and Hudson O’Keeffe. As is always the case when the Blues play the Pies, there’s plenty to play for on Thursday night, with the Peter Mac Cup going to the winning side, while the best player on the ground will be awarded to the best player on the ground. The contest will also be Voss’ 100th as AFL Senior Coach of Carlton. With plenty on the line for both sides, expect fireworks when these two old enemies meet for the 269th time in VFL/AFL history.
