Ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window, Chelsea have a host of players who are playing for their futures at Stamford Bridge between now and the end of the seasonAs we approach the end of the season, Chelsea supporters are beginning to think about the business the club will do in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blues are expected to be busy, once again, in the window in between the seasons, with the club looking to provide Liam Rosenior with the tools to compete next term. While Rosenior has a strong squad at his disposal already, there is a widespread feeling that Chelsea are a few players off competing with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City. Officials at Stamford Bridge will be hoping to address that in the summer window, with every outfield position expected to be looked at in the market.Chelsea are looking to add a new centre-back to their ranks, after missing out on Jeremy Jacquet last month, while the Blues are also considering their options in midfield and in attack ahead of the 2026/27 season. If that is the case, there could be a few players leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer to balance the books.FOLLOW OUR CHELSEA FB PAGE! Latest Blues news, analysis and much more via our dedicated Facebook pageAnd with that being said, football.london takes a look at seven Chelsea players, who the Blues paid a combined fee of £220million for, who are potentially playing for their futures between now and the end of the season.Tosin AdarabioyoTosin will have two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge by the time the summer arrives. Chelsea will need to start looking at what to do with the 28-year-old defender given his contractual status at the club.Signed on a free transfer last in 2024, Tosin has had his moments in a Blues shirt but has never been able to establish himself as a starter for the west Londoners. Chelsea could look to sell Tosin at the end of the season unless there is a drastic improvement in performance.Benoit BadiashileThe Frenchman, signed for £35million from AS Monaco in January 2023, has more than four years left to run on his contract. So, on that front, there is no concern, but Badiashile - simply put - has not been good enough since moving to Stamford Bridge.Again, he has had his moments and there looks to be a really talented defender in there somewhere. Injuries haven't helped and it looks as if he never has any rhythm when he does play. It's undoubtedly a big period for Badiashile between now and May as he plays for his future at the club.Romeo LaviaThe 22-year-old midfielder returned to the Chelsea squad for the first time since early-November in the draw with Burnley at the weekend. Unsurprisingly, Lavia didn't come on as the Blues were frustrated against the struggling Clarets, but were boosted by the Belgian's presence on the bench. It is imperative for Lavia to stay fit and available between now and the end of the campaign. Since moving to the club in the summer of 2023 for £58million from Southampton, Lavia has managed just 30 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea. While his talent and importance to the side are undoubted, Lavia's lack of availability is a real cause for concern.Jamie GittensGittens only signed for Chelsea last summer but because of the ruthless nature of how BlueCo have done business since buying the club in 2022, the winger is already playing for his future. At the moment, unfortunately, he is not playing because of a hamstring issue, but when he does return, those final games of the season could be crucial for his future. The 21-year-old former Borussia Dortmund wide man has undeniable talent and potential but his lack of end product has been a source of frustration at Stamford Bridge this season. Chelsea are expected to be in the market for a winger or two in the summer transfer window, and with Geovany Quenda coming in from Sporting CP, Chelsea might look to move Gittens on after just 12 months.Alejandro GarnachoGarnacho finds himself in a similar boat. The Argentine has shown what he can add to this Chelsea side at times this season, but recently he has been frustrated with his performances. The Blues signed the 21-year-old for a fairly modest £40million last summer, so could be in line to at least get their money back if they were to sell Garnacho. From Chelsea's point of view, it seemed a fairly risk-free move at the time. Garnacho, though, will be hoping to prove his critics wrong between now and May as Chelsea continue to fight on three fronts.Liam DelapSimilarly to the Garnacho deal, Chelsea paid just £30million to bring Delap to Stamford Bridge. However, the 23-year-old striker, who took the No.9 shirt after signing, has been disappointing during his short time in west London.Delap has just two goals to his name across 25 appearances in all competitions. While Rosenior believes Delap adds much more than just goals to the Chelsea team, a striker needs to score more than that - that is not up for debate.Emanuel Emegha will arrive from Strasbourg in the summer transfer window with the Netherlands international expected to provide further competition for Delap up front. Given he is already below Joao Pedro in the pecking order, Emegha's arrival spells more bad news for Delap.Marc GuiuThe 20-year-old striker is another one playing for his future at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately for Guiu, though, he might not get too much time on the pitch to prove his worth; given the evidence laid before us this season.Guiu has made just 11 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this term, scoring two goals in the process. The former Barcelona striker, who was signed for £5million in the summer of 2024, was supposed to spend the season on loan at Sunderland but was recalled after Nicolas Jackson moved to Bayern Munich. Chelsea could look to loan Guiu out again in the summer.
