Ruben Amorim is reportedly casting his eye back to Portugal as his 2026 transfer plans begin to take shape, while Manchester United deal with the fallout of Benjamin Sesko's injuryThe international window by no means translates to fewer headaches for the Premier League elite, as Manchester United have rediscovered of late. And Ruben Amorim's team have been putting out fires following Benjamin Sesko's recent injury. The Slovenian was ruled out of international duty after picking up a knock just prior to the international break. However, the Red Devils have attracted plaudits for their handling of the situation, albeit after a period of tension with Slovenia's FA.Elsewhere, Ruben Amorim is being lined up for a return to former employers Sporting CP as he hunts a wonderkid who could fill a vital gap in the team. Mirror Football breaks down the latest happenings around Old Trafford as United aim to continue their recent growth spurt.Amorim eyeing Sporting wonderkidUnited are understood to be in hot pursuit of Sporting CP youngster Salvador Blopa, who is making some big waves back in Lisbon. One year after Amorim left the Estadio Jose Alvalade, the Red Devils boss could return to his former stomping ground for a promising new recruit.Blopa, 18, is supposedly seen as a potential long-term answer to United's woes at right wing-back, a role the club has struggled with in recent years. The likes of Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui have juggled responsibilities in the position this term, though neither has truly nailed their remit just yet.READ MORE : Man Utd transfer news: Ex-Barcelona star opens door to January move with 'dream' admissionREAD MORE : Alejandro Garnacho's response to bashing sums him up as Chelsea ace left out in the coldThe Daily Mail reported the Red Devils can expect competition from Real Madrid in their pursuit of the teenage sensation. Blopa only made his first-team debut for Sporting last month, where he scored twice in a 5-1 Taca de Liga win over Alverca. The 6ft 2" star is able to operate anywhere down the right side but may be considered somewhat raw to make the step up at Old Trafford just yet. United aren't understood to be prepping for a busy January transfer window, though the desperation to fill a gap in the team that sorely needs addressing may yet push them into action.Slovenia row with English media explainedAn international incident almost unfolded this week, and it all stemmed from Sesko's recent injury disappointment. Or rather, Slovenia was supposedly less than impressed with the lack of communication it received from Old Trafford.Summer signing Sesko was forced off during the 2-2 draw against Tottenham last weekend despite coming off the bench himself. And it appeared the knock was serious enough given his withdrawal left the Red Devils to finish the game with 10 men.Cue comment from Slovenia manager Matjaz Kek, who was banking on his star to be fit ahead of key World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Sweden. But despite his initial assertion demanding "maximum respect" after being left in the dark, he eventually played down the row after receiving word from Manchester.Kek even took aim at the English media for allegedly making more of the situation than was required. However, he holds no ill will towards United after they reached out."Completely expected from the English media," said Kek ahead of his side's crucial World Cup qualifier. "But I emphasise once again: the moment communication was established between us and the Manchester United medical team, the problem was solved in five minutes."I thank the club for their cooperation. Our medical team checked their documentation. The matter was quickly resolved. I wish Benjamin a successful rehabilitation and a speedy return to the field, because everyone who knows him knows that he feels best there."
