West Ham United v BurnleyPremier League, London Stadium, Saturday 8 November 2025, 3pm GMTHead Coach Nuno Espírito Santo has named an unchanged West Ham United starting XI for today’s Premier League fixture with Burnley.The Portuguese will go head-to-head with Burnley head coach, former West Ham midfielder and three-time Hammer of the Year Scott Parker, who led the Lancashire club to promotion back to the Premier League last season.Parker’s present-day successor as captain, Jarrod Bowen, makes his 250th appearance for the Club he joined in January 2020, becoming the 55th player to reach that milestone.The 28-year-old, who was called up by England on Friday, has 130 direct goal involvements in his 249 games, with 77 goals and 53 assists. However, Bowen is looking for his first goal or assist on his seventh career appearance against Burnley today.West Ham have fared better against the Clarets as a team, however, having won three and drawn three of their last six Premier League meetings.One other headline is the inclusion of 18-year-old England U19 international defender and Academy of Football prospect Airidas Golambeckis on the substitutes' bench - the first time he has been included in a first-team matchday squad.Back to the starting XI and Alphonse Areola will continue in goal. The France international has lost just one of four career meetings with Burnley, but is still seeking his first clean sheet.Right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has a superb career record against Burnley, having won six and lost just once in his eight games against today’s opponents. He has registered three clean sheets and two assists in those half-dozen matches.Both left-backs carry a significant attacking threat, with West Ham’s El Hadji Malick Diouf recording three assists and Burnley’s Quilindschy Hartman setting up four goals, with all four assists coming away from Turf Moor.Jean-Clair Todibo faces Burnley for the first time, while his centre-back partner Maximilian Kilman played against the Clarets four times for Wolverhampton Wanderers, captaining Wolves in both Premier League meetings in 2023/24.Freddie Potts keeps his place in midfield following his Man of the Match performance against Newcastle last weekend. The 22-year-old started twice for Portsmouth against Burnley in the EFL Championship last season, keeping a clean sheet in a goalless draw at Fratton Park in February.Mateus Fernandes also faced Burnley last season for Southampton, but suffered a 1-0 FA Cup fourth-round defeat by the Clarets at St Mary’s Stadium in January.Lucas Paquetá is seeking goals in back-to-back Premier League matches for the second time this season. The Brazilian netted in last week’s win over Newcastle, having previous scored against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest in late August.Bowen will likely play wide on the right, with Crysencio Summerville out to continue his incredible individual record against Burnley from the left wing.The Dutchman scored a hat-trick and assisted Leeds United U23s’ other goal in a 4-1 win over Burnley’s U23s in Premier League 2 back in January 2021.
