Manchester United could have a busy few months ahead of them if some of the latest reports are to be believed.

The summer transfer window is officially open, which means United can now go into the market for reinforcements for Ruben Amorim's squad.

United have already completed one transfer with Matheus Cunha arriving from Wolves, with the Brazilian officially moving to Old Trafford on July 1.

A host of players have already been linked with signing for United over the last few weeks.

There has also been intense speculation about players already at the club and whether or not they could leave before the transfer window closes.

Here, the Manchester Evening News takes a look at some of the latest United transfer news and gossip that has emerged over the last 24 hours.

Marcus Rashford update

Marcus Rashford is continuing to be linked with a move away from United. Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, who have a £40million option to make the move permanent.

Mundo Deportivo has reported that Rashford wants to join Barcelona this summer. However, it has been stated that the La Liga giants have placed Rashford as their alternative option to Liverpool forward Luis Diaz, who is their number one target this summer.

The report goes on to say that Barcelona would prefer to sign Rashford on a loan deal with the option to make it permanent at the end of next season.

MEN Sport says: It seems that Rashford's future may no longer be at United. Whether it be at Aston Villa, Barcelona or another club, the majority of the rumours concerning Rashford seem to suggest that a permanent move from Old Trafford this summer is the most likely outcome.

Bruno Fernandes 'offer' prepared

United captain Bruno Fernandes is continuing to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

TBR Football are reporting that Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal are getting ready to present a "record-breaking" bid to United in an effort to sign Fernandes.

The report claims that Al-Hilal are prepared to offer £100million to try and sign Fernandes.

MEN Sport says: The update about Fernandes comes after the Manchester Evening News reported that Fernandes was giving serious consideration to the possibility of leaving United. Based on some of the latest reports, it seems that the chances of Fernandes leaving Old Trafford is increasing by the day.
