Defending champions Real Madrid will travel to the Emirates Stadium in London to face English giants Arsenal in the first leg of their quarter-final tie in the UEFA Champions League 2024-25 on Wednesday.

The Arsenal vs Real Madrid UCL 2024-25 football match will start at 12:30 AM IST and will be live streamed and telecast live in India.

Arsenal, who have never won the UEFA Champions League, beat Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregate in the previous round of the UCL to qualify for the quarter-finals.

The UEFA Champions League represents Arsenal’s last realistic chance of winning any silverware this season having been eliminated from the League Cup and FA Cup earlier in the campaign.

Record 15-time UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid beat city rivals Atletico Madrid 4-2 on penalties after the match had ended 2-2 following extra time in the preceding round.

After Wednesday’s first encounter between the teams, Arsenal will travel to the Santiago Bernabéu for the second leg on Thursday, April 17.

Interestingly, Real Madrid have never beaten Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League. They squared off twice before in the round of 16 in the 2005-06 season with the Gunners drawing 0-0 at home before beating Real 1-0 away from home thanks to a Thierry Henry goal.
