Last week, the PCB also revealed a modification in the hierarchy of the players for the PSL 2025 draft. Commemorating the tenth edition of the tournament, the PSL 2025 season itself will commence from April 10 onwards and continue until May 25. It is notable that PSL seasons usually wrap up by either February or March each year; however, a modification in its 2025 timetable can be ascribed to Pakistan’s duty to host the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.

81 positions will be available in the player draft before the 2025 version of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Lahore's Huzoori Bagh on Monday, January 13. Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Lahore Qalandars kept eight players each, while Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi, and Karachi Kings kept seven.

The 10th season of the PSL is poised to coincide with the IPL, but it might not be a negative situation ultimately. Indeed, a majority of the overseas players who went unsold in the IPL auction have registered for the PSL draft .
