Liverpool Ready to Pay £52m to Sign RB Leipzig Star Yan Diomnade

Liverpool are in the market for a replacement for Mohamed Salah, and they are now reportedly ready to pay £52m to sign RB Leipzig youngster Yan Diomande, according to Sport.

Salah recently confirmed that he would be leaving the club on a free transfer in the summer, despite having a year left on his deal.

The Egyptian forward has been one of Liverpool's best servants of the last decade, and replacing the output he's produced will be a difficult ask.

Salah has dropped off this season, but then again, so have Liverpool, but despite that, it will be imperative that they find the right replacement this summer.

It's been a disappointing campaign for the Reds as they sit just outside the Champions League places, meaning it's going to be an important transfer window all around for Arne Slot's side.

Liverpool Ready to Pay £52m for Salah Replacement

According to a report from Sport, via Sport Witness, Liverpool are ready to pay over £52m to sign RB Leipzig youngster Diomande ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Bundesliga outfit are likely to demand a higher fee to allow him to depart, with the report suggesting that they might want in the region of £61m instead.

Predominantly playing on the right-hand side of attack, Diomande could be the ideal replacement for Salah. Football Transfers has even described Diomande as 'the next Salah', and although he's only 19 years old, he's already making a significant impact.

The Reds do face competition for his signature from Chelsea and Barcelona, but there's a strong chance Diomande would favour a move to Anfield in the summer.

Diomande Would Love Liverpool Move

Diomande has previously admitted that he would love to play for Liverpool one day.

“I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a huge Liverpool fan. My dad dreams of seeing me play at Anfield!”

With the Merseyside club showing an interest in securing his signature, Diomande could complete his dream move in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool need a right-sided attacker, he's keen to join, and he undoubtedly has the potential to be a Champions League-level winger in the future.

Slot's side need to make a move in the summer transfer window if they are able to bring in him for a reasonable fee.
