(March 10, 2026) – Charleston junior Jakub Solarski received CAA men’s tennis Player of the Week honors while William & Mary junior Francesca Davis was chosen as the CAA women’s tennis Player of the Week. The William & Mary duo of Oliver Hague and Gur Trakhtenberg was named men’s Doubles Team of the Week and Charleston’s Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato garnered women’s Doubles Team of the Week accolades.CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the WeekJakub Solarski, Jr., Charleston (Lodz, Poland)Solarski posted a 4-0 mark at No. 1 singles last week without dropping a set. The junior opened the week with a 6-2, 7-6 (5) victory over Nicholls State’s Marcell Marki that clinched the match in a 5-2 team win. He defeated New Orleans’ Jacob Rouleau-Mailly, 7-6 (4), 6-3 as the Cougars pulled out a 4-3 triumph. Back at home, Solarski rolled past Youngstown State’s Matteo Ceradelli, 6-3, 6-0, in a 5-2 win and topped Stonehill’s Guillermo Bennaton, 6-4, 6-2 as the Cougars got a 7-0 victory.CAA Women’s Tennis Player of the WeekFrancesca Davis, Jr., William & Mary (Glastonbury, Somerset, England)Davis went 2-0 at No. 3 singles as William & Mary split a pair of matches last week. Competing at No. 3 singles, the junior downed James Madison’s Sophie Williams, 6-4, 6-0, in a tough 4-3 team setback to the Dukes. In a 6-1 victory over CAA foe Drexel, she clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Adva Dabah.CAA Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the WeekOliver Hague, Jr., William & Mary (Manchester, England)Gur Trakhtenberg, So., William & Mary (Raanana, Israel)Hague and Trakhtenberg were unbeaten at No. 1 doubles in William & Mary’s 2-1 week. The Tribe duo beat Georgetown’s Arthur O’Sullivan and Cyrus Zia, 6-2, to help earn the doubles point in a 5-2 team victory. They followed with a 6-3 win against Norfolk State’s Szymon Janzen and Szymon Malecki to help take the doubles point as W&M topped the Spartans, 6-1. A tight match against #59 Liberty was halted after the doubles point was decided.CAA Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the WeekSia Cariov, So., Charleston (Delray Beach, Fla.)Francesca Salvato, Sr., Charleston (Miami Beach, Fla.)Cariov and Salvato helped Charleston earn the critical doubles point in a 4-3 team victory over Buffalo.
