Key West (Fla.) defensive lineman Josh Johnson and Hollywood (Fla.) McArthur defensive back Sherrod Gourdine got things rolling with pledges to the Canes following the first spring session.

On Friday, Miami landed a big-time commitment from Arlington Heights (Ill.) Montini Catholic Top247 quarterback Israel Abrams, the No. 2 signal-caller in the Class of 2027.
