The Rose Parade is a beloved New Year’s Day tradition for millions worldwide. It spans 5 ½ miles along Colorado Blvd., featuring floral-covered floats, equestrian units, marching bands, and Tournament Entries. Many participants have deep-rooted connections to the Tournament of Roses, preserving its rich traditions.

The parade has evolved significantly since its inception, where it initially drew 3,000 spectators with flower-covered, horse-drawn carriages. Today, the floats are technological and artistic marvels adorned with flowers and natural materials.

Over 80,000 volunteer hours are contributed annually by 935 members of the Tournament of Roses Association, known as “White Suiters.”

The theme of the 136th Rose Parade is “Best Day Ever!”

“The 2025 theme celebrates life’s best moments – those unexpected times that bring a smile, warm our hearts and fill us with joy,” said newly-installed President Ed Morales.

Billie Jean King, a sports icon and equality champion, was named Grand Marshal. Musical guests include Aloe Blacc, Dynamic Kiesza, Betty Who and Debbie Gibson.
