(Photo-Getty Images)New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to announce the squad for the Champions Trophy on Saturday, January 18 in the press conference. The tournament is set to start on February 19 in Pakistan and UAE.Team India is placed in Group A along with Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The Men in Blue will open their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 at the Dubai International Stadium. The squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against England will also be announced on Saturday.As per the India Today report, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are expected to be picked for the team. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is also likely to be included in the 15-member squad. The star pacer suffered a back spasm during the last Test against Australia in Sydney.He picked up 32 wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and won the Player of the Series award for his stunning performance. Bumrah was taken for scans on Day 2 during the fifth Test and didn’t bowl a single over after that. The Men in Blue lost the five-match Test series by 3-1 and failed to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship.According to the same report, The selectors want Bumrah to play at least one ODI match before the start of the Champions Trophy. The star Indian pacer laughed off the reports that suggested that he will miss the Champions Trophy group stage matches due to injury.No Sanju Samson and Karun Nair in Champions Trophy squadThe selectors are reportedly reluctant to include Sanju Samson and Karun Nair in the Champions Trophy squad. The Vidarbha skipper has been in stellar form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scoring 752 runs in seven matches, including five hundreds. Sanju Samson has been selected in the squad for the T20I series against England but is also unlikely to be included in the Champions Trophy team.
