As always, she has drawn huge support for her matches in California, having rapidly become one of the most popular players in the sport.

Eala has remained focused on the task at hand despite her raucous fans, although she has now issued her wish for some celebrity support.

Alexandra Eala wants Manny Pacquiao and Bad Bunny to watch her play

Sharing the three celebrities she would love to watch her in action for Indian Wells on Instagram, Eala said: “I would pick Manny Pacquiao, Bad Bunny, and I would pick Olivia Dean.”

The Filipina superstar certainly wasn’t the only player involved in the challenge, with Iga Swiatek saying: “Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga. Emma Stone.”

Jessica Pegula commented: “Well I’ll say Josh Allen because that would be cool and there’s a connection there.

“Maybe like Sidney Crosby, hockey player, I was pretty obsessed with him a while ago. And then maybe I’d throw in like Joe Jonas or something, because I’m a big Jonas Brothers fan.”

Australian Open champion Elena Rybakina noted: “I just met Lily Collins yesterday, so it would be nice to see her and maybe even her dad.

“Zendaya, I think she was here, but she didn’t get to see my match, so hopefully she could come. Yeah, Daniel Radcliffe.”

WTA number one Aryna Sabalenka said: “Anna Wintour, Lily Collins, of course, and Hailey Bieber,” while Coco Gauff commented: “Rihanna, Beyonce and Zendaya.”

Mirra Andreeva always wants Roger Federer to attend her matches

The more experienced WTA stars were joined by their more youthful counterparts in the challenge too, including Indian Wells defending champion Mirra Andreeva.

She is one of three teenagers currently taking women’s tennis by storm, along with fellow top 20 players Iva Jovic and Victoria Mboko.

Naming the three celebrities she would love to have attend her match, 18-year-old Jovic said: “Ryan Gosling, Emma Watson, one of my favorite actors, and then Matthew McConaughey as well.”

World number 10 Mboko commented: “Last year I saw Kylie Jenner and Timothy Chalamet watching so I think I’ve got two down already. I don’t know, maybe Simone Biles, that’d be pretty cool.”

And Andreeva said: “I would probably go for Ryan Gosling. I would go for Emma Stone, and let’s choose Roger [Federer], he’s always one of the celebrities that I would pick.”

Andreeva’s final response was particularly telling, demonstrating just how special a player ATP legend Federer was.
