OK, enough preamble. Let's get to it.

Here is your the Women's World Cup team of the tournament as voted for by you, the BBC Sport readers...

Women's World Cup team of the tournament

After 30 matches, just one remains at the Women's World Cup.

But who makes your team of the tournament?

We've had three different votes to help you pick your openers, remaining batters/all-rounders and bowlers.

We haven't done a specific wicketkeeper vote because of the various roles many players fulfil in the women's game, but we've included the most-voted in the final XI.

Before we share the final team, let's look at those who were in contention...

Tempting as it is to keep Jemimah Rodrigues' dog at the top of this page to lift everyone's spirits, as the rain continues to fall in Navi Mumbai, it is time for us to move on and have a look at the Women's World Cup team of the tournament - as voted for by you...

There's a patch of big dark grey cloud, but mercifully, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, it is moving from our right, and more weather on that side seems to be a little bit clearer.

So hopefully, in an hour, we should have clear skies for the rest of the evening, but that is just my estimate. Hope we get a full day of cricket and both sides have an even chance in creating history.

Well, based on the images we've just seen on the TV of Ian Ward hunched under an umbrella as the rain pummels down, I think we're in for a lengthy delay.

It sort of sums the tournament up. We have talked so much about the rain throughout this tournament, and the forecast was rain all week, but it has been dry in patches.

I was hopeful that the rain would stay away and we wouldn't need a reserve day, but with the weather coming to us, it is looking pretty bleak.

Good morning/afternoon from a damp Navi Mumbai.

It has been raining all morning and in the TMS box we've been working our way through the playing conditions. There are an extra two hours available today to ensure a game is done with a minimum of 20 overs per side, and there is a reserve day in place tomorrow.

That would mean they have to start by around 21:08 local time.

But hypothetically, if a team bats 50 overs today and then fewer than 20 overs are bowled of the chase, the game will resume from the same point tomorrow.

Start delayed

Right, that's all the excitement and positivity - now for the bad news.

It has been raining in Navi Mumbai this morning and the start had already been pushed back to 10:00 GMT before the drizzle returned and the covers went on.

We await word on whether it is bad enough to delay things further or, if it stops, the toss can go ahead at 09:30 GMT.

But umbrellas are up and big covers are on now. Not ideal.

That's right, it's World Cup final day in Navi Mumbai as hosts India take on South Africa.

It's not a final many would have predicted - certainly not halfway through the second semi-final on Thursday - but it promises to be a cracker.

Neither side has won this trophy before so whichever way it goes, history will be made...
