Yuvraj Singh is a two-time World Cup winner, playing instrumental role on both successful campaigns. However, ever since his retirement, Yuvraj's father, Yograj Singh, has often thrown MS Dhoni under the bus with controversial remarks.Yuvraj in an interview with Sportstak, rendered an apology to Dhoni and India's first World Cup-winning skipper Kapil Dev for his father's scathing comments on the two prominent figures of Indian cricket. Discussing further, the former cricketer also reflected on the conversation he had with his father regarding these comments."I would like to apologise to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni for these comments. I don't know what the issue was between him and my father. I have played with MS Dhoni and have always expressed my relationship with him. But what my dad has said about him -- I told him, 'it's not okay.' It reflects on me as I have played with him."I told him I would appreciate it if he didn't say these things, whatever the reasons. I sincerely would like to apologise to both of them. And they also know that those words are not mine. As cricketers, I have huge respect for them for whatever they have done for the country," he added.Yuvraj in previous interviews revealed he doesn't share a very cordial bond with his father. Yograj was Yuvraj's childhood coach and is known to be a stern teacher, as revealed by the former in past media interactions.Yuvraj, however, revealed that he has worked a lot on improving the stained relationship with his father. "We now try to interact more as father and son, rather than the earlier dynamic of coach and ward. It's an interesting phase in my life. We discuss a lot about past and present cricketers and often argue - but it's all in good humour," he said.
