Semi-Final 1 Venue Update: Colombo or Kolkata?

The venue for Semi-Final 1 will depend on the final Super 8 standings.

The match is currently listed as a floating venue between:

R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

Eden Gardens, Kolkata

If Pakistan qualify for the semi-finals, they will play Semi-Final 1 in Colombo on 4 March.

If Pakistan do not qualify but Sri Lanka qualify and face a team other than India, then Sri Lanka will play Semi-Final 1 in Colombo.

If neither of these scenarios occur, or if India are drawn against Sri Lanka, then Semi-Final 1 will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 4 March.

Semi-Final 2 and Final Venue Details

Semi-Final 2 of the T20 World Cup 2026 will be held at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 5 March.

The venue for the final on 8 March will also depend on Pakistan’s progress:

If Pakistan reach the final, the summit clash will be played in Colombo.

If Pakistan do not reach the final, it will be held in Ahmedabad.
