CommBank Matildas Squad Update: 1st March 2026

CommBank Matildas goalkeeper, Jada Whyman, has been ruled out of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026™ due to a knee injury.

Whyman has been replaced by Morgan Aquino, who joins the squad from DC Power.

The team will be led by forward Sam Kerr as captain, in her fifth appearance at the tournament. With defenders Steph Catley and Ellie Carpenter as vice-captains in their fourth and third AFC Women’s Asian Cups, respectively.

Australia will take on the Philippines in the opening match of the tournament tonight in Perth, before heading to the Gold Coast and Sydney for their remaining group stage games.

All the match action will be available for fans to watch live thanks to Football Australia’s broadcast partner, Paramount Australia.
