After an entertaining play-off round, the 16 remaining teams in the 2024-25 Champions League have a firmer idea of what is in store.Manchester City were among the biggest casualties of the knockout play-off round, with the 2023 champions losing 6-3 on aggregate to Real Madrid. AC Milan and Juventus have also been eliminated, but 2020 winners Bayern Munich snuck through thanks to Alphonso Davies' late goal against Celtic.Bayern Munich, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Club Brugge, Feyenoord, Paris Saint-Germain, PSV Eindhoven and Real Madrid are the eight play-off winners moving into the round of 16. They will now join the top eight finishers in the league phase - Liverpool, Barcelona, Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Lille and Aston Villa.Each team already knows they can face one of just two opponents in the next round, but in some cases there's a big difference between the two options. We won't have long to wait, either, with the draw taking place on Friday.What time is the Champions League last-16 draw?The Champions League draw will take place on Friday, February 21. Coverage will begin from 11am UK time on UEFA's website and YouTube channel, and fans can watch live for free.Those with a Discovery+ subscription will also have the option of watching on TNT Sports and the Discovery+ app. For those unable to watch video at the time of the draw, Mirror Football will provide live updates as they come in.Who will win this season's Champions League? There is Premier League interest in both of those competitions as well, with Manchester United and Tottenham securing top-eight finishes in the Europa League and Chelsea doing the same in the Conference League.Who can the English clubs face?Arsenal are guaranteed to face a Dutch side in the round of 16, with PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord coming through play-offs against Italian opposition. PSG beat fellow Ligue 1 side Brest 10-0 on aggregate, but Benfica needed a late Orhun Kokcu goal in Lisbon to overcome Monaco in a topsy-turvy clash.For Aston Villa, it's a meeting with Borussia Dortmund or Club Brugge. 2024 finalists Dortmund were comfortable in their play-off against Sporting CP, while Brugge - who beat Villa in the league phase - got the better of Atalanta.When are the round of 16 matches?Image: Getty Images) Getty Images)The first legs of the matches will take place on March 4 and March 5, with the second legs the following midweek. The seeded teams (those who finished in the top eight in the league phase) will be at home for their second leg ties.The same applies in the other UEFA competitions, which will hold their last-16 matches on March 6 and March 13. That means all six remaining Premier League teams will play their second legs at home.Teams who make the quarter-finals will play those matches in early-mid April, with the semis beginning a fortnight after the second legs of the quarters.
