Australian all-rounder Maitlan Brown will join Surrey for opening stage of the 2026 Metro Bank Women’s One Day CupBrown will link up with the squad ahead of Surrey’s first fixture on Saturday 11 April against Warwickshire at Edgbaston, and will remain with the team until the match against Lancashire at the Kia Oval on Saturday 16 May.A dynamic right arm fast bowler, Brown will bring extensive domestic and franchise experience to the Three Feathers.Brown, who is brilliant new ball option, represents her native New South Wales in Australian domestic cricket and has an impressive List A bowling average of 26.69.Since 2018, Brown has been a constant member of the Australia A programme. The 28-year-old made her WBBL debut in 2016 for the Melbourne Renegades at 19, finishing her maiden season with an economy rate of just 6.94. Brown has represented the Sydney Sixers since 2021 and featured in the 2023 edition of The Hundred with the Southern Brave.Speaking on signing for Surrey, Maitlan Brown said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Surrey this summer.
