Know performers, time and where to watch live streaming and telecast in India

A glitzy IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata will officially flag off the 18th Indian Premier League season on Saturday.

Scheduled just before the IPL 2025 opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the Indian Premier League 205 Opening Ceremony starts at 6:00 PM IST and will be available to watch on live streaming and live telecast.

While the KKR vs RCB opening match will assemble some global cricketing icons like Virat Kohli, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy among others, the IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony will also be a star-studded affair.

IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony: Who will perform?

At the time of writing, Bollywood actor Disha Patani, Punjabi rapper Karan Aujla and popular playback singer Shreya Ghoshal have already been confirmed for the IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony.

Media reports also suggest that Bollywood stars Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan and singer-songwriter Arijit Singh could be added to the list of performers.

Popular American pop band OneRepublic, who recently collaborated with Disha and Karan for the hit single Tell Me has also been approached for a performance, as per reports by the Hindustan Times.

Several Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Sanjay Dutt are expected to attend the IPL 2025 opening ceremony alongside International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah.

Shahrukh Khan, who owns the KKR franchise, is also highly likely to attend.

IPL is the most lucrative franchise-based T20 cricket league in the world. The tournament, which will see 10 teams compete across 74 matches, culminates with the final on May 25.

Watch live streaming of IPL 2025 Opening Ceremony on JioHotstar. The Indian Premier League Opening Ceremony will also be telecast live on the Star Sports Network and Network 18 TV channels in India.
