The left-hander walked out to bat with a visible limp after Shardul Thakur’s dismissal, triggering a standing ovation from the Manchester crowd — and admiration from cricketing legends worldwide.Pant, undeterred by pain, struck 54 off 75 balls, peppered with three boundaries and two sixes, matching Virender Sehwag’s all-time Indian record of 90 sixes in Test cricket.
