'You can feel'… Bryan Mbeumo gives verdict on JJ Gabriel after training with Man Utd wonderkid

Bryan Mbeumo has trained with JJ Gabriel for Manchester United a handful of times, and now he’s been asked what he makes of the 15-year-old.

This week has seen JJ Gabriel back in Manchester United senior training, pictured alongside some of the best attackers currently at the club.

Seeing Gabriel mixing it up in the first team is nothing new, as he has been in and out of sessions practically all season.

This even saw Darren Fletcher asked about an FA Cup debut in January. But now, Gabriel’s best endorsement yet has come from his future teammate Bryan Mbeumo.

Gabriel is a once in a generation talent, considered one of the finest to grace Carrington, and is clearly being lined up for a senior debut at the earliest possible opportunity.

Now, Mbeumo has appeared on a live stream with French streamer Zack Nani, and one topic of conversation was Gabriel.

“He’s good, really good. He’s often with us in training and you can feel and see that he’s got something special.

“Everything is easy for him. He has a lot of composure in front of goal, he has a good shot, and he’s technically strong.”

To have the current star forward from United hailing a 15-year-old just demonstrates how seriously impressive he must be in training, affirming what fans see in his academy performances.

Gabriel will have eyes locked on first-team debut but can still win treble this season

United are pushing Gabriel into first-team training more regularly right now, which makes sense as we near the end of the season. Gabriel is yet to make his U21 debut due to the legality of him playing, but he could skip that age group altogether.

Pre-season will likely feature Gabriel on tour, with Michael Carrick the favourite to be the permanent head coach and already taking a shine to the youngster.

Gabriel will be eligible to make his competitive debut next season from match-day one in the Premier League and there is a strong chance he is in and around the squad by then.

However, he can still make this season one to remember.

United’s U18 side are still in contention for three trophies, the FA Youth Cup, Premier League Cup and also the league title.

It may even end up being a quadruple if United win the league and then the final against the champions of the south.

So it could be a season packed with silverware for Gabriel, and what a way to bow out of academy football.
