Alfie Hewett, Gordon Reid & Andy Lapthorne finish runners-up at the 2025 Wheelchair Tennis Masters

The Wheelchair Tennis Masters is the ITF’s season-ending wheelchair tennis tournament – similar to the Nitto ATP Finals or WTA Finals.

Hewett reached finals in both the men’s singles and doubles alongside Reid, but lost out in the title-deciders.

The British No.1 finished top of his group with three wins out of three in the round-robin phase before going on to beat countryman Reid 7-5, 6-3 in the semi-final.

Competing for his fourth Masters singles title and in his sixth final since 2017, Hewett eventually lost out to world No.1 Tokito Oda 6-1, 6-1.

The world No.2 finishes his season with six singles title, including the Australian Open and Baton Rouge ITF Super Series.

Hewett and Reid also lost out in a nail-biting men’s doubles final to Spain’s Martin De la Puente and Ruben Spaargaren.

The Brits were aiming for their seventh title of the year – adding to their Grand Slams in Melbourne and Paris – but were denied in a final championship tie-break, losing out 6-4, 1-6, 14-12.

In the quad doubles, Lapthorne and Australian partner Heath Davidson defeated Greg Slade and Jin Woodman, and Ahmet Kaplan and Sam Schroder to top Group B.

Lapthorne and Davidson produced a comeback win over Francisco Cayulef and Gonzalo Enrique Lazarte in the semi-finals 4-6, 6-3, 10-5, before losing out to top seeds Guy Sasson and Niels Vink 6-2, 6-0.
