Sadaf Shamas has been ruled out of Pakistan’s Ireland-bound T20I squad after tearing her left quadriceps muscle during a practice session in Karachi.Pakistan have made a late change to their women’s squad ahead of the upcoming tour to Ireland, with 26-year-old right-handed batter being ruled out and replaced by top-order batter Shawaal Zulfiqar.Shawaal, a promising 20-year-old who was recently part of the national women’s 24-player skills camp held in Karachi, has already represented Pakistan in seven T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals. Known for her composed temperament and elegant stroke play, the young batter will now join the national contingent as they prepare for their upcoming T20I assignment in Europe.She is set to travel from Lahore to Karachi on Saturday morning, where she will link up with her teammates before their scheduled departure for Ireland on 3 August.The Pakistan women’s team is set to take on Ireland in a three-match T20 International series, to be held in Dublin from 6 to 10 August.
