The UEFA Women’s European Championships kicks off on Wednesday 2 July in Switzerland.

Knockout stages commence on Wednesday 16 July, before the tournament concludes in Basel on Sunday 27 July.

It is one of the most prestegious trophies on offer in international football, with only five nations lifting it previously.

Germany are the competition's most successful country, crowned champions on eight occasions. Norway are second in line, though some way behind, with two titles.

Sweden, the Netherlands and most recent victors England, have all won it once.
