Mohun Bagan Super Giant is set to part ways with head coach Jose Molina, a day after the team exited the Super Cup following a goalless draw against arch-rival East Bengal on Friday.Molina, who was appointed head coach ahead of the 2024–25 Indian Super League (ISL) season, departs after leading the Mariners to a historic double, clinching both the League Shield and the ISL Cup — only the second team to do so; the first being Mumbai City FC.Post the Kolkata derby, Molina hit out at the club management, without naming any individuals, over the summer’s transfer dealings.“Every time we play against teams with foreign midfielders, we cannot control the possession of the ball, and we have to defend too much. I tried to sign a foreign midfielder, but it was impossible,” he said in the press conference.READ | Molina tears into Mohun Bagan management after Super Cup exitBagan has endured a difficult season so far, suffering eliminations at the hands of East Bengal in both the Durand Cup and the Super Cup.
