Manchester United are expected to receive around £300,000 if Real Betis win the Conference League on Wednesday, it has been claimed. Manuel Pellegrini's Betis face Chelsea in the final in Wroclaw and United no doubt have one eye on Antony's progress.

The Brazilian has impressed since his loan move from United in January, scoring nine goals and adding five assists in 25 matches for Betis. As part of his loan move, United and Betis agreed on a number of bonuses should Antony reach them, according to ABC.es.

One of them is that Betis have got to fork out £300,000 to United if they win the Conference League final against Chelsea. It was conditional on Antony playing more than half of their matches in the competition since his arrival, but he has featured in every one.

Antony twice and grabbed an assist as Betis beat Fiorentina 4-3 on aggregate in the semi-final and is expected to start for Pellegrini's side against Chelsea.

As well as a payment for Betis winning the Conference League, United are anticipated to receive an additional £125,000 after Antony helped his team reach the Europa League via La Liga. Betis finished sixth - a position that guarantees a spot in Europe's second-tier competition.

The payments are scheduled to be paid before Thursday, July 10, so that clubs can decide to apply them to either the 2024/25 or 2025/26 seasons. There was also specific bonuses for qualifying for the Champions League, but Betis failed to achieve that goal this season.

Antony has enjoyed quite the career revival following a turbulent time at United. In fact, in an interview with TNT Sports Brazil earlier this week, the former Ajax man revealed he considered retiring during his dire Old Trafford spell. He scored just 12 times and added five assists in 96 matches for United.

"I always say that I had good moments, but I had very difficult moments too. Not only on the field but off it," he said. "I went through some very difficult times there that ended up affecting me a lot.

"But I am very grateful even for these difficult moments that I went through. Today, I feel much more mature, much more prepared, I feel much better. It was a moment when I thought about stopping playing. I no longer felt that desire to play football because of everything I was going through."

Although Antony is set to return to United upon the end of his loan stint at Betis, Ruben Amorim's side are keen to cash in and raise funds to bring more players in.
