Will the Eagles let running back Saquon Barkley attempt to get the 101 rushing yards necessary to break the single-season rushing record? It’s still TBD. And the decision will be made after head coach Nick Sirianni talks to pretty much everyone in the building.“I’ll talk to our staff, I’ll talk to the players, I’ll talk to [General Manager] Howie [Roseman], I’ll talk to Mr. Lurie. I’ll talk to everybody to try and make sure I’m making the best decision for the football team,” Sirianni said Tuesday on WIP radio in Philadelphia, via ESPN.com.The question is simple to articulate, hard to answer: “What’s the best thing for the team and then also what’s the best things for the individuals going for the record?”The best thing for the team is to rest Barkley against the Giants. The best thing for Barkley is to chase history. If Barkley gets 101 or more yards and emerges unscathed, great. If he gets injured, not great.Sirianni can talk to whoever he wants. In the end, it’s his decision.Unless he lets Big Dom make it.
