A video of India cricketer Jitesh Sharma is going viral on social media, where the wicketkeeper-batter can be seen shouting to his Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) mentor Dinesh Karthik , who is doing commentary in the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. However, Dinesh Karthik clarified the issue on X (formerly Twitter) and slammed the social media trolls."These are some issues with social media that a lot of people face," Karthik wrote on X."I invited Jitesh to the comm box, he had come, and I came and met him downstairs and took him to the comm box where he met everyone there."By the way, this is below the media center, not the entrance to the ground."For RCB in IPL 2025, Jitesh played key knocks as a finisher, including an unbeaten 85 in a must-win match against Lucknow Super Giants, helping RCB finish in the top two of the points table. He also served as RCB’s captain when Rajat Patidar suffered a finger injury towards the back end of the competition. The wicketkeeper-batter will represent Baroda in the upcoming 2025/26 domestic season after leaving Vidarbha. Jitesh has played nine T20Is for India. In the last domestic season, Jitesh captained Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and played under Karun Nair’s leadership in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). A move to Baroda means Jitesh will be able to play both white-ball and red-ball formats, having played only 18 first-class games since making his longer-format debut in the 2015/16 season.
