Eala, Chan exit at Hong Kong Open doubles

MANILA, Philippines — Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala and Taiwanese partner Chan Hao-Ching fell to Russian-Balarusian duo of Kamilla Rakhimova and Aliaksandra Sasnovich in their first round clash, 6-3, 1-6, 7-10, at the Hong Kong Open in China on Monday.

Eala now shifts her attention to her singles campaign in the tournament which stands as her last for the WTA 2025 season.

Sporting a career-best 51st ranking, Eala faces world no. 79 Katie Boulter of Great Britain on Tuesday at 7:40 p.m. barring any delay.
