No, I think he will miss it.Ben Stokes press conference: On Mohammed Siraj, Chris Woakes batting with injury, 2-2 resultEngland pacer Chris Woakes has provided a promising update on his recovery from a dislocated shoulder, raising hopes of his participation in the Ashes later this year.The 35-year-old sustained the injury while fielding during the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against India at The Oval earlier this month.Speaking to Sky Sports on the sidelines of The Hundred, Woakes appeared without an arm sling and said his rehabilitation was progressing better than he initially anticipated.“Certainly good news for me. That's the best way to look at it,” Woakes said. “Obviously out of the sling and feel like I can move it a lot better now, which is good two weeks down the line.“I suppose once you get a little bit more movement into it, feels a little bit more normal. But still a lot of work to do. Going to try and (stay) focused on the rehab and get it as strong as possible. Ideally not for surgery for now but we'll see how that goes and hopefully we can get it nice and strong again.”Earlier this month, Woakes had told BBC Sport he was weighing up whether to undergo surgery or opt solely for rehabilitation.For now, he is hoping to avoid going under the knife.The injury was a dramatic moment in the series decider against India. Woakes, despite being ruled out of bowling duties, came out to bat with his left arm in a sling on the tense final morning as England chased victory, but the hosts fell agonisingly short by six runs.The five-Test Ashes series against Australia will start Down Under on November 21.
