Wildcats Sweep No. 11 Arizona State to Win Third Straight Diablo Invite Title

The University of Arizona men's tennis team captured its third consecutive Diablo Invite championship Saturday afternoon, defeating No. 11 Arizona State, 4-0, at the Kiwanis Tennis Center.

The Wildcats opened tournament play against Michigan State, dropping the doubles point before responding with a strong showing in singles to claim four singles courts and advance. Arizona carried that momentum into the semifinal round against UC Santa Barbara, securing the doubles point and winning three singles matches for a 4-1 victory to move on to the championship.

In Saturday's final, Arizona set the tone early in doubles and maintained control throughout singles play. The Wildcats won in straight sets on multiple courts and clinched the match in dominating fashion to claim the team title for the third straight year.

Arizona returns home to host Michigan State on Tuesday, March 2, at LaNelle Robson Tennis Center. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. MST.
