Bold KKR vs LSG IPL 2026 Predictions, Can KKR Win?

1
At Eden Gardens, a desperate Kolkata Knight Riders side takes on a confident Lucknow Super Giants in Match 15 of IPL Cricket 2026. KKR have won zero of their three matches, with two losses, and one rained out. Every minute Ajinkya Rahane’s men delay their first win, the pressure multiplies.

LSG is riding a different wave entirely. Rishabh Pant’s side bossed Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last outing, with Mohammed Shami reducing one of the most explosive batting line-ups in the competition to rubble inside six overs.

On a surface, KKR know well but have failed to master this season, here are two bold predictions for tonight’s contest.

Mohammed Shami Will Wreck KKR’s Top Order Early

KKR’s‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ top order has appeared quite vulnerable, and Mohammed Shami might really be the last bowler they want to encounter at the moment.

LSG’s victory against SRH saw Shami deliver a magnificent 4-0-9-2, bowling 18 dot balls and conceding just 10 runs in 4 overs.

The batting lineup he shelled was far superior to KKR’s, and his performance completely dismantled it. Besides, Shami has been getting a good carry and movement off the surface from Eden Gardens regularly, and these are the conditions he has been taking advantage of throughout his career.

Ajinkya Rahane is a player who has been suffering both in terms of form and role and who might end up being a clear victim of Shami’s full, swinging deliveries.

Finn Allen is quite a fierce opener but his weakness is the in-swing delivery which is sharply bowled.

My guess is that Shami will dismiss at least two out of KKR’s top three within the powerplay and end with the figures of 3 wickets for under 25 runs, thus dislocating KKR before it even has a thought of a ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌game.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi Will Top-Score for KKR With a 45-Plus Knock

Despite KKR’s collective struggles, the standout player for KKR has been Angkrish Raghuvanshi. This 21-year-old even faced the best form of hitting, only 52 runs with 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad, one of the best performances of IPL 2026 so far. only to be undone by a heartbreaking run-out.

Besides that, he also scored a 55-ball century during KKR’s internal squad warm-up, indicating that his potential for power hitting is much higher than what his three IPL 2026 matches played so far show.

Raghuvanshi thrives in situations where he can play freely without excessive expectation, and at Eden Gardens, that confidence could be decisive. With Cameron Green likely to continue struggling and Rinku Singh still anchored low in the order, Raghuvanshi batting at No. 3 becomes KKR’s best chance of posting a competitive total. I predict he scores between 45 and 60 runs and is the only KKR batter to genuinely challenge LSG’s bowling attack tonight.
