Tottenham keen on Maghnes Akliouche

Tottenham Hotspur are trying to sign a quality attacker this summer, and they could move for Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco.

Duncan Castles has revealed to Football Transfers that Spurs could move for the 23-year-old Frenchman if they fail to sign Savinho from Manchester City.

Manchester City are unwilling to sell the Brazilian this summer, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

As per Castles, a move for Akliouche could be complicated due to his agent, who can be difficult to negotiate with. Also, the player will cost around €70 million. Spurs will want to sign the player for a more reasonable amount of money.

Spurs keen on Maghnes Akliouche

“If it isn’t Savinho, who will be expensive, there’s also interest in Maghnes Akliouche at Monaco,” Castles revealed. “He’s a 23-year-old, very skilful and quick left-footed forward, who tends to play off the right wing, but can also play centrally. Like Eze, he’s an excellent dribbler of the ball. “Complications in that deal are the agent, who has a reputation of being extremely difficult to deal with, and the asking price of Monaco, which was set at €70 million this summer.”

Move would be ideal for Akliouche and Spurs

Spurs move could be ideal for Akliouche. It would be a huge step up for him, and he would get to test himself in the Premier League. He has the technical attributes to do well in England, and he would improve Spurs going forward.

Tottenham are without the injured duo of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski. They need attacking additions, and Akliouche would be a long-term addition. He could add some much-needed cutting edge and unpredictability to their attack.

It remains to be seen whether Monaco are willing to be reasonable with their demands for the player. Daniel Levy is unlikely to pay over the odds for the young attacker.
